               COVID-19 Advice (issued 18 March 2020)

Given the current circumstances we've had a high number of groups make contact with us, and, due to the amount of effort put into rehearsals/marketing etc, most of them have so far wanted to re-schedule rather than cancel. We're not charging fees for any deferral of productions.

If you decide to postpone your production you probably won't know the dates for later in the year, or next year, yet, but please advise us nevertheless, and we'll issue a new temporary licence to show a date range of 2-3 months which you can then refine with us when the actual production dates are known.

Regarding cancellation: our administration fee will not be levied where you are forced to cancel your production.

    by Spencer Glenn Miller

Play Script: 'Landfall' by Spencer Glenn Miller‘Landfall’ is a modern-age fairy-tale about the North Star being tricked out of the sky and stumbling into a family’s life changing them forever. The idea of some supernatural being falling down to Earth and helping change the lives of us mere mortals is a powerful myth that resonates down human history. It is a heart-warming story about love, friendship, and how the world needs to work together to survive.

The supernatural innocent on this occasion is the North Star, tricked down from the sky by the jealous sisters: Aeras (representing wind), Nero (representing water) and Terra (representing earth). North crashes to Earth in the form of a young teenage boy. Bereft of his memories and left for dead by the three sisters, he eventually awakens and makes his way to the house of a local wildlife ranger. Here, almost immediately, he becomes the source of conflict between one anguished man, his wife and his rapidly maturing daughter.

Just like most supernaturals who fall to Earth, there comes a time when they must return to whatever celestial sphere they call home. North realises, with some emotional poignancy, why he must re-assume his responsibilities in the heavens, and the three elemental sisters learn the lesson that we all have to work together to stop things falling apart.

This family friendly play could use young actors as well seasoned performers as well as mask acting, movement and song, to bring the story to life.
