In keeping strictly to this policy, we do not dilute our strengths to the detriment of our contributing authors and our theatrical customers. Please do not send speculative e-mails, letters or manuscripts regarding any of the above material; we will not reply.
At the times when our Submission Process is OPEN, please contact our by e-mail before submitting anything. Please note that when the Submission Process is CLOSED, it is very unlikely that we will respond to any e-mails or snail-mails received.
We prefer to receive the submission material in the following formats :-
| Plays : | the script in MS Word as an attachment to an e-mail. |
| Musicals : | a) the script/libretto in MS Word as an attachment to an e-mail. |
| b) a mailed-in CD of (preferably) a cast recording, or backing tracks, | |
| c) (if possible) a mailed-in DVD of a performance. | |
| NOTE - it is not necessary to submit a piano/vocal score if either b) or c) above is submitted. If, however, no recorded material is available, please check with us first before submitting any form of piano.vocal score | |
We cannot consider either plays or musicals unless evidence is provided to show that they have had a full stage production in front of an audience, given by either an amateur group or a professional company, and lasting for at least three performances. Different requirements apply to school-based musicals (please ask).
We aim to read your material and respond within three months, although that is not always possible where our circumstances dictate otherwise.
Stagescripts Ltd is not able to return paper format scripts or CD's, so please do not send stamped addressed envelopes with any material submitted. Please also ensure that any material you send is a copy, and is not your master version, as unsuccessful submission material will be destroyed.
Stagescripts Ltd undertakes to respect the copyright you hold in any works submitted, even if we advise you that we do not wish to add your title(s) to our catalogue. If you require it, we will sign a confidentiality agreement with you prior to submission.
