Synopsis
An anxious couple meets in a crowded station. They haven’t seen each other for nearly 20 years, since they were teenagers. Ella has to talk to Mike about something, but she knows it won’t be easy. They chat awkwardly at first and then finally she summons the courage to tell Mike what has been haunting her all these years.
What follows is highly charged drama about what happens when culture and language change in the midst of people's lives, leaving them drifting in a world where they can no longer think of themselves as they did before.
Thank You is a compelling and tightly woven production. It dares to tackle one of the most heated debates of our time: When is sex consensual or not? And whose interpretation matters? |
