SynopsisBaron and Baroness de Broke are just that, broke! Between them they have three daughters. Cinderella, from the Barons first marriage, and Namby and Pamby from the Baronesses first marriage. They all live together in Stoneybroke Hall along with Buttons, and Lucy, the cook. The de Brokes have been avoiding paying tax, so they receive a final, final, final demand that’s had extra zeros added to it by the Judge, the Inspector and the Bailiff who all want the de Brokes out so they can seize Stoneybroke Hall as they have discovered it sits on untapped resources of oil. In the meantime, Prince Charming and Dandini swap places where Dandini (as the Prince) meets Lucy, and the Prince (as Dandini) meets Cinderella. The invitations to the Ball go out and both Dandini and the Prince are back as themselves. Lucy arrives up at the Ball, but where is the young girl, Cinders? When the Princess Crystal is announced, the Prince seems to recognise her but can’t remember where or when he met her. Maybe it was when he dreamed a dream! Then just before the clock strikes twelve, Princess Crystal (Cinderella) leaves in a rush leaving her shoe behind. The search to find the wearer of the shoe goes on until finally Cinderella is found, at which the Prince and his Princess’s dreams have come true. But what about the others? And what about Stoneybroke Hall sitting on all that untapped oil? |
