SynopsisThe Makepeace family have seen better days and are pleased to hear of the death of wealthy Aunt Agatha. This could mean a change in their fortunes, however, Agatha did stipulate years ago that her money would only go to her brother, Howard, if he had a wife. A plan is hatched whereby, Nancy, the hired maid would impersonate Howard’s wife during the reading of the will. Also, Thorpe, general handyman, drugs the solicitor, with the intention of carrying off the subterfuge. It is all to no avail though, because Frink, the solicitor, reveals conditions in the will which will have a drastic effect on the Makepeace family for years to come. |
