David Hampshire |
David Hampshire has been a professional actor since 1966 when he played the title role in the BBC TV series Jennings. He has performed in all aspects of the profession ranging from pantomime Dame to playing Jean Valjean in Les Miserables at the Palace Theatre, London. He began writing in 2001 and to date he has written twenty one short plays and two full-length plays. David's plays are written for the stage within a single setting but they readily lend themselves to radio and television adaptation. His latest play 'Funny Turns' had a very successful short professional production at The Museum Of Comedy in February 2019 followed by another short professional production at Jermyn Street Theatre in July 2019. |
