Synopsis

Comedic Drama Play Script: 'Secrets, Lies & Blackmail' by David Challenger

This comedic drama is about a successful family business run by four brothers which is on the brink of collapse due to a rash decision taken by Ben, the youngest brother without consulting the others, which causes a rift between them. While the brothers carry on with their feud, Jo who is married to James, the oldest brother and Managing Director, decides to enlist the other wives to save the business which gives them their precious lifestyles.

They decide that their secret weapon will be sexual blackmail with unexpected results they hadn’t foreseen. They decide to target Ben with an ingenious plan to discredit and compromise him in front of his young wife.

During the course of the proceedings, each of the wives will reveal intriguing and shocking secrets about their respective marriages.

Their plan looks doomed to failure and their husbands alienated until an unexpected twist turns villain Ben into the unlikely hero and ultimate saviour of the business.

This play has strong characters, a fast-moving plot and is full of twists and turns to keep the audience captivated.
