Christopher Owen, actor, trained at RADA and has worked extensively in theatre, television and film. Films have included: ‘The Bank Job’, ‘Colonial Dispatches’, ‘Basil’, ‘The Fear of Silence’ (with Max Wall). Television work includes: ‘House of Cards’ (McKenzie), ‘Morse’, ‘Bad Boys’, ‘Poirot’, ‘Sharpe’s Honour’, ‘Minder’, ‘Men Behaving Badly’, ‘The Day of the Triffids’. As a writer: to date, his plays produced include: 2017: ‘Drownings’ at the Octagon Bolton (Best of Bolton). 2016: ‘The Touch of a Butterfly’s Wing’ long listed for Papatango Award. ‘Still Waters’ performed at the Manhattan Theatre, New York; 2015: ‘Winston Brown’ performed in association with Paines Plough at the Lowry Manchester UK. In 2013 ‘Women's Voices’, co-written with American writer Susan K Monson, was performed in Manchester as part of North West (Women in Comedy!) Festival. ‘A Parson's Tale’ toured extensively between 1995 and 2004 in the UK, Saudi Arabia and Cypress. ‘Right ho’, Wodehouse toured the UK in 2000. ‘A Family Affair’, (represented by Stage Scripts Ltd) has been performed in the UK, Australia and Ireland. ‘Recital’ (represented by Stage Scripts Ltd) has been professionally performed by the Another Theatre Company at the Caterham Festival in 2017. ‘A Wilde Affair’ toured the UK between 2006 and 2008. His published stories include publication in an anthology by Jessica Kingsley Publishers, in Binnacle Journal, Maine (USA), in Neon Literary Magazine, Smoke (Old Peculiar / London) Magazine and The Irish Literary Review, and in Valve Journal (Scotland). |
