Tom Casling

Tom Casling describes himself as a playwright, Impresario. Director of: Moon in the Sky Theatre, a touring theatre company, and a would-be actor, in that specific order.  His first love though is writing.  At the time of writing this introduction he has over 30 plays available; a mixture of full length and one act plays, eighteen of which are now with Stagescripts UK Ltd. Other scripts are published under his own label Moon in the Sky Theatre.

Tom was born in Stockton on Tees in 1958 and moved to Durham in 1993 and loves to set his plays in the North East area.  Many of Tom’s plays have been performed several times at well-known theatres including The Arc in Stockton, The Gals theatre, The Custom House in South Shields and at The Arts Centre Washington. Tom also likes to write specifically for groups and has had a number of plays commissioned.  He can tailor a play specifically for a group and the cast it has available or a particular event.  The plays are usually topical and reflect his keen eye for detail and a story.  Tom is delighted to be working with Stagescripts and is looking forward to having many more plays with this organisation.
